I spent most of this week in Colorado, where I gave talks to faculty and students at the Colorado School of Mines and the University of Colorado, Boulder. The discussions on both #womeninstem and #scicomm were rich and continue to propel me to advocate for change.

I am more optimistic change is possible after seeing the will and determination among the leadership of the departments I met with to create thriving communities for scientists.
